Temporary Road Closures Begin Tuesday in Apple Valley
Two side streets will be closed the rest of the week.

Temporary road closures set to begin Tuesday in Apple Valley are:
- Tuesday-Friday: 155th Street West/Whitney Drive, west of Cedar Avenue. Detours: 157th, 153rd
- Tuesday-Friday: 157th Street West, east of Cedar Avenue. Detour: 155th to Gaslight Lane
These closures are part of the Cedar Avenue construction project, which is increasing the number of lanes on Cedar to accommodate a bus rapid transit system, where buses will take bus-only shoulder lanes from Lakeville and Apple Valley to the Mall of America.
Bus rapid transit is set to begin near the end of 2012, though some construction will continue until the summer of 2013.
