Apple Valley Wrestlers Win Minnesota/USA Wrestling Awards
Several wrestlers were honored at a Sunday banquet in St. Paul.

Several former and current Apple Valley High School wrestlers were honored at the 2011 Minnesota/USA Wrestling annual awards, according to a post on theguillotine.com.
Awardees with local ties include:
- Justin LaValle (now at Old Dominion): Junior Fila Freestyle Wrestler
- Jake Waste (now at University of Buffalo): Third-ranked junior; Minnesota Triple Crown award
- Matt Kelliher (now at University of Wisconsin): Fifth-ranked junior
- Brandon Kingsley: 10th-ranked junior
- Gannon Volk: First-ranked cadet; National Triple Crown award; Minnesota Triple Crown award
- Seth Gross: Fifth-ranked cadet
Apple Valley also was awarded third place as a club in folkstyle and freestyle wrestling.
